What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website saves in your browser. Browser storage (local storage) is a similar place where a website can remember small choices on your device.
The cookies we use
Opal Accessories uses as few as possible. We don't use advertising, tracking or analytics cookies.
- opal_sid (strictly necessary). Keeps you signed in as you move between pages. It's set by our server only when you use a sign-in, sign-up or account form, can't be read by scripts on the page (http-only), and is deleted when you close your browser.
- opal_pending (strictly necessary, Google sign-up only). Holds your name and email for up to 15 minutes while you finish signing up with Google, so the form can be filled in for you. It's deleted as soon as you finish.
What your browser remembers
- opal_age: that you confirmed you're 18 or over, so we don't ask on every page.
- opal_cookies: your choice in the cookie notice.
These stay on your device only. They're never sent to our server and you can clear them at any time in your browser settings.
Other services
- Google Sign-In. If you use "Continue with Google", Google may set its own cookies to manage that sign-in. See Google's privacy and cookie policies.
- Our games. Games load from our own server in a frame on the page. A game may use your browser's storage to remember things like sound settings.
Your choices
Because the cookies above are strictly necessary for signing in, they don't need your consent under UK law, but you can still block or delete them in your browser settings. If you do, you can still play every game but you won't be able to stay signed in.
You can change your choice in our cookie notice at any time using "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page.
